Campervan hire in a Hymercar Yosemite
Our Hymer Yosemite campervan features a generous bed in the rear with plenty of storage underneath for our gear and our musical instruments, as well as lots of handy drawers and cubbyholes for clothes, shoes and personal items. The bed is super comfy, so we slept like babies, and while the cutaway part of the bed takes some getting used to, it makes it super easy to store and retrieve our gear stored underneath.
Our next stop in our Hymercar Yosemite was the fabled Fairy Pools in Glenbrittle. We arrived mid-morning, just in time to squeeze in a parallel parking spot that wasn’t too far from the trailhead. Our tip- get to the pools EARLY if you want to beat the crowds. We enjoyed a leisurely hike up the extraordinary series of waterfalls and clear azure pools and even saw a few brave souls taking the plunge for a swim-brrrrrrr!
Old Man of Storr in a campervan hire
We travelled next to the Old Man of Storr, one of Scotland’s most iconic rock formations. The steep climb up the hill isn’t what you would call leisurely, but it was invigorating and as the mist parted and the sun came out, the sweeping views were revealed in all their glory- wow!
Nearby Kilt Rock also offered splendid vistas as well, and a perfect spot to enjoy the view from our campervan for an afternoon repast, prepared in the comfort of our fully equipped campervan hire’s kitchen and enjoyed on the easy-to-assemble dining table.
The Hymer Yosemite kitchen features a two burner hob, roomy fridge and plenty of workspace- the sink and hob tops fold down and the counter can be extended for extra room. And as always, the Roseisle team stocks everything we’ll need to dine in style, including plenty of pots, dishes, utensils and towels- we didn’t need to bring anything except our personal belongings because they think of everything.
At Uig we boarded the ferry- a breeze to do in the nimble Hymer Yosemite campervan hire– and now we are sailing off to the Isle of Harris into a perfect sunset. Tomorrow- the beach!
